RISE Labs Body Donation was established to enable and support progress in science and medicine. Whole body donation is imperative to the continue advancement of medical science. RISE Labs Body Donation connects those who desire to contribute to science with the need from the world of medical research, so that future generations benefit from new techniques and treatments.

Most anatomical specimens currently come from outside Europe, leading to high costs for transport of anatomical material and for the doctors and scientists who must travel for updated skills and techniques. Money that is spent on shipments and transportation can not be used for what really matters: research and training. Travel and transport movements also result in excessive Carbon emissions. Our body donation program reduces these costs, which allows more available resources for actual research.

RISE Labs Body Donation works according to the highest ethical and professional standards. A respectful, ethical and transparent relationship with you and your next of kin is our highest priority. Unlike other programs, your relatives can receive the cremated partial physical remains within two to three months, if you choose. If you prefer, your ashes can be scattered in a memorial garden.

What does RISE Lab do?

After accepting your body donation, RISE Labs will provide and pay for the following services:

• Transport of the deceased to RISE Labs

• Declaration of death

• Application for approval of donation

• Transport of the partial remains to the crematorium

• The collection and delivery or scattering of the ash.
